Stars Team With Williams-Sonoma To Design Kitchen Items That Will Raise Money For Charity

With the spotlight on them practically all of the time, it only makes sense for celebrities to occasionally want to prove to the world that they actually are good human beings with souls like the rest of us. One of the most obvious ways they can do this is by contributing to a charity, which is exactly what these celebrities are doing.

Stars are pairing with Williams-Sonoma to design a collection of kitchen items that will raise money for charity. This collection is part of the Williams-Sonoma’s annual Cook for a Cause campaign. It consists of 10 spatulas and several dish towels.

30 percent of the proceeds from sales of this collection will go straight to No Kid Hungry, which is an organization that helps childhood hunger in America. Williams-Sonoma has raised an estimated $10 million for No Kid Hungry over the years via Cook for a Cause. This is the sixth year stars have designed kitchen utensils for the store.

“It breaks my heart to know that there are so many children suffering from food insecurity right here in America, and I’m proud to partner with Williams-Sonoma and No Kid Hungry to help raise awareness for this amazing organization that is fighting to end child hunger,” said Kris Jenner in a statement.

Jenner designed a black spatula with the famous Kardashian-Jenner phrase “You’re doing amazing, sweetie!” which Jenner uttered during daughter Kim Kardashian’s Playboy photo shoot on the first season of Keeping Up With The Kardashians.

Dolly Parton, who designed a spatula and matching tea towel, shared, “I’ve often said that I never had children of my own so that all children could be mine. The thought of anyone going hungry is horrible, but knowing that it’s a child is simply heartbreaking. We all have to do our part to take care of the little ones around us who need extra love. This spatula program might help in some small way.”

Kristen Bell noted that she was “excited” to design for this charity for the second year in a row. She added, “Cooking is a universal language and food can bring people together in a unique way. It’s the conduit that brings us to a shared table to talk, laugh, think and discuss. Now more than ever, unity and helping those in need are two things we simply can’t drop the ball on.”

The store is aiming to raise $3 million this year, which should help connect American children to about 30 million meals.

If this doesn’t stir up a big pot of good feelings in your heart, I don’t know what will.
