4 Workout Apps To Keep You Moving At Home

Whether you are a workout guru or just getting back on your feet after giving up for a long time, exercise should be an important part of our lives. Some of us do it, yes, just to look hot. Some of us actually do it for our health. Some of us do it because we enjoy it. And some of us do it for other reasons I have yet to figure out. Whatever your reason is to get moving, sometimes it’s hard to find the time or place or just motivation. Luckily, we live in the technology age and apps are our friends. So look no further, because gathered below are four of the best workout apps to keep you moving from the comfort of your own home.

Body By Simone (BBS)

Body by Simone is a high-impact dance cardio, resistance, and toning workout founded by Simone De La Rue. Celebs like Kelly Ripa love the in-person classes thanks to the fun and fresh dance methods. There are three studios: two in California and one in New York. Luckily, there’s also an app you can download that offers live classes and workouts to do on your own time. The app also helps with nutrition and provides recipes. It also does things like keep statistics and measurements for you. If you’re looking to keep things fresh and feel like you’re working with a celebrity trainer out of the comfort of your own home, this is the app for you.

Tone It Up

The Tone It Up app features a variation of workouts ranging from strength training, yoga, dance, HIIT, meditations, and pre and postnatal workouts. The app also includes recipes for those who want to watch what they eat. Katrina Scott and Karena Dawn, two personal trainers who quickly decided to come together to create a fitness community that embraces positivity and empowers women, founded the app. This is the app to download if you want something that will boost your confidence and connect you to other women that want to reach their personal goals.

Physique57 On Demand

The Physique57 app is another app that also offers live in-studio classes. The Physique57 studio is a barre studio, which is the inspiration for this workout, but not all of the workouts are considered a barre workout.  The workout is designed to use your own bodyweight as resistance, targeting the muscles in your arms, thighs, glutes and abs to the point of fatigue then stretches them for relief. The Physique57 website reads, “Our proprietary process, called Interval Overload, combines cardio, strength training, core, and stretch sequences that will not only sculpt your ultimate physique, but will also empower you to push beyond your mental and physical limits.” This is the app that will get you out of your comfort zone and help you tone up in a way that makes you feel like you’re *actually* doing something worth your time.

Alo Moves

This app provides thousands of classes with a variation of exercises ranging from yoga, strength, barre, pilates, HIIT, core, meditation, etc. It excels by sorting classes by mood, time, style, and skill level. If you are very picky with your workouts, this is the app that is likely to have whatever workout you can’t find elsewhere to bring to your own home.

Go ahead and press download. And if you’re still not convinced, this way you won’t have to worry about people judging you in class. Those bitches can kiss your skinny little ass.
