Good news for all of you Live With Kelly and Ryan fans! The beloved talk show that has been broadcasting remotely for more than five months now is set to return to the New York City studio on September 8th.
Monday, September 7th, will kick off the 33rd season premiere with a special holiday episode titled “Live’s Labor Day Cookout.” The exciting episode will take place outdoors and host guests Hilary Swank and Brett Eldredge. Kelly, Ryan, and executive producer Michael Gelman are also set to share their favorite holiday grilling recipes, obvi.
Then the following day is the day. On Tuesday, September 8th, Kelly and Ryan will return to the NYC studio where all of the magic happens, though a studio audience won’t accompany them. The first month of the new season will host a range of “at home” how-to’s and advice for fans, including segments on home improvement, cooking, money saving tips, and more. Excited to see how this goes down.
The celebrities featured in September will include John Leguizamo, Jessica Alba, Jimmy Kimmel, Lauren Cohan, Bethenny Frankel, Josh Groban, and Tyra Banks.
The new season is going to feature the debut of the latest version of Live’s daily trivia game, including trivia dancers from all over the country dancing in their own homes. As Miley once said, it’s a party in the USA!
Kelly and Ryan have been hosting Live With Kelly and Ryan since March. It’s about time we get the show back to the studio, don’t you think? Since they’ve been working remotely, they’ve shown off their homes and families, held cooking sessions, and hosted a wedding for essential workers.
Kelly and Ryan shared what they expected from the show during a virtual appearance on The Tonight Show last month.
“We started this in March, and one of the things that we love most is the interaction that we get to have,” Seacrest said. “We have plenty of conversations on the show. And as of now they’re telling us September, that we’d be back in the studio in some way in person.”
Well, Ryan, it looks like fortunately September it is.
Kelly, being the fashion icon that she is, has a few demands when they go back.
“I’m not coming back if I have to wear pants or bottoms of any kind,” she joked. “I like this from the waist up sort of thing that we’re doing. So I think we should build a studio that you can’t see what we’re wearing from the waist down.”
We’re thrilled to see the show moving one step forward to getting back to normal. Just shaking with excitement for the new season!
