YAY! Welcome to the world, Daisy Dove Bloom! Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom have officially announced the arrival of their new baby girl, Daisy Dove Bloom.
“We are floating with love and wonder from the safe and healthy arrival of our daughter,” Perry and Bloom said in an Instagram post. The post also shared a link to donate to the Unicef charity, with hopes of helping every birth to be healthy.
The couple didn’t reveal many deets on the arrival of baby Daisy except that it was very “peaceful.”
“But we know we’re the lucky ones and not everyone can have a birthing experience as peaceful as ours was,” the couple said.
Daisy is Perry’s first child and Bloom’s second. Bloom also shares a 9 ½ -year-old son, Flynn, with ex-wife Miranda Kerr.
Perry shocked fans back in March when she showed off her baby bump at the end of her “Never Worn White” music video, confirming she was pregnant. The couple continued to surprise fans when they revealed they were expecting a baby girl when they shared adorable photos from a gender reveal.
Perry recently shared with PEOPLE that it wasn’t until recently that she felt ready for motherhood. “I was really terrified of the idea two or three years ago. It was just like, I don’t know how I’m ever gonna do that. That’s crazy. I can barely take care of myself!” the singer said.
But after a long retreat, Perry said she feels differently and was no longer “scared” to bring a child into the world. She stated, “I’m really glad that I got to check a lot of boxes personally and professionally before I got to this place.”
“Unconditional love has been a journey for me, and that’s going to be amazing,” she continued.
Baby Daisy is already surrounded with so much love. This is going to be an amazing start for a beautiful family.
