Summer is on the fast track to being here. If there’s one that’s for sure, it’s that we can always use a little extra self-care. So this year, here are a few self-care things you can do, summer edition.

  1. Spend hours on a pool float with your hair flowing in the water.
  2. Popsicles. That’s it.
  3. Watch your favorite old summer movies like Dirty Dancing or The Sandlot in bed.
  4. Hand-wash your very nice, extremely overpriced swimsuit.
  5. Light up your favorite summer-scented candles.
  6. Invest in a new pair of flip flops or slides that you will be seen in all. season. long.
  7. Pick up a nice bouquet of seasonal flowers to put on display in your living space.
  8. Inform your crew you’re about to ghost them because you’re officially on vacay mode.
  9. And then actually go on vacay mode.
  10. *Gasp.* Put down the remote controller and pick up a summer novel.
  11. Tropical. Flavored. Lipbalm.
  12. Take such a long bubble bath that you have to drain and add new hot water halfway through.
  13. Create a summery playlist that will be the soundtrack to your workday.
  14. Soak up the sunshine by doing something outdoorsy, like taking a bike ride or walk.

  16. Make your house a little more season-appropriate with summer decor.
  17. Call your long-distance friend and pretend you’re together.
  18. Give yourself a mani/pedi with cute summery colors.
  19. Wake up and look out the window at the nice beautiful sunny day.
  20. Try out a new local wine and drink it by some body of water.
