Katy Perry has been on an honesty kick lately. She’s recently lately opened up about her body hair habits changing, showed off her real hair and admitting “everything is fake”, flashed her spanx, and even opened up about mental health issues. Her latest “realness” update was on Instagram live with Miranda Kerr, who just happens to be her fiancé Orlando Bloom’s ex-wife.
During the live session, she gushed about Kerr’s skincare line Kora Organics. She particularly focused on the new launch, a Turmeric Glow Moisturizer, which she gave credit to clearing her skin.
Perry showed up on the live session post-shower and clean-faced, as she said “little-to-no makeup…maybe just a little under-eye [concealer]” since she wanted to “show off her skin”.
When discussing how she came to be using the moisturizer ahead of its launch date, Perry said:
“One of the great things about being close with Miranda is that I get to try out all her products, especially when her son who’s 10 years old comes with them and I look through his little backpack… and you gave me this new moisturizer!”
She continued to explain that the moisturizer has miraculously fixed her skin saying:
“It has changed my skin game so much. I was like Miranda, if you ever wanna do a live about it? I have no investment, nobody’s paying me… I’ve used everything on my skin. I’ve used La Mer, I’ve used all of the amazing dermatologists in LA, all of their lines, and this one has changed my skin so much. People are like ‘you’re glowing! You’ve got rosy cheeks!'”
Perry insists she’s had “no zits” and a rosy complexion since using it.
“I have had adult acne in the past, and that’s why I have been not leaning into heavy moisturizer, because I’m going to get these cystic zits underneath my skin that I can’t even pop… I was a little bit scared of heavy moisturizers.”
She continued saying that she uses it morning and night, and doesn’t feel like she has to use primer anymore. The singer also joked that Orlando is equally in love with the product. Apparently the couple “fight over the [refillable] pods”.
If it’s good enough for Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom, it’s worth the try.
