Michael Kors Had ’90s Supermodels Walk The Runway

The Michael Kors fall 2021 show included familiar models, such as Ashley Graham, Paloma Elsesser, Alek Wek, Bella Hadid, and Precious Lee. But a different group of models really stole the show. Popular ’90s supermodels, including Naomi Campbell, Helena Christensen, Carolyn Murphy, and Shalom Harlow, were featured on the runway too.

The stunning foursome reunited in honor of Kors’s label’s 40th anniversary. The fall show took place in the Theater District, where Kors would regularly see Broadway shows. Kors made a generous donation to the Actors Fund, which supports those working in the entertainment industry. Models strutted down a lit-up Midtown while marquees boasted the Michael Kors name throughout the show.

And the glowing ’90s supermodels? They all showed off shimmering, body-skimming dresses in black, silver, and gold. This isn’t the first time ’90s supermodels have strutted down runways in later years. In 2017, Cindy Crawford, Carla Bruni, Claudia Schiffer, and Helena Christensen – who are all in their 50s – made their way down the Versace runway while lip-syncing “Freedom! ’90” in honor of the 20th anniversary of the death of Gianni Versace.

It’s refreshing to welcome women of that age back to the runway. And we all love a good ’90s throwback!
