Turns Out, Blake Lively And Jordan Alexander Met Years Before ‘Gossip Girl’

It’s been close to a whole week since we’ve gotten the Gossip Girl reboot on our screens. If there’s one actress that’s made a name for herself, it’s Jordan Alexander, who plays Julien Calloway.

Alexander admits to watching the original Gossip Girl series in preparation for the role. She also recently opened up about a time in her life prior to the teen drama, when she and Blake Lively met face-to-face in the cutest way.

Telling the story to Glamour, Alexander explained that when the 2007 version of the show was released, she and her sister were stoked because their family had met Blake in Vancouver years before.

“We actually met at this church that both of our families were at the time because she was filming Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, and her family was so kind to us,” she shared with Glamour.

“They were so lovely to us and brought us on set,” she continued. “We were very excited to watch and support her, and obviously it was a very fun show, so it was really good.”

“They invited us on set, and we were so excited. It was me, my two sisters, and my mom and dad, and we got to experience a movie set.”

She concluded, “Blake let me and my sisters pick what earrings she was going to wear. She had options for earrings for this day, and so she let us pick, which was so sweet.”

Alexander also mentioned that watching the original series prior to taking on the role of Julien helped her form her character, who is an affluent Instagram influencer.

“I watched the entirety of Gossip Girl to get a tone and a theme for my performance and my character,” she said. “Because it’s a really iconic series. I definitely wanted to infuse as much of that in Julien as possible to give that nostalgic feeling.”

Hopefully Jordan Alexander takes notes on Blake’s good graces on and off the set as she tries to fill the role of such a big character.
