In the case of the royal sisters-in-law, Us Weekly recently reported the two might be teaming up for a new show.
One of the magazine’s sources said that the two royals, who are caught in strained palace relationships, “are actually getting along really well and have been in touch more often.” Markle and Middleton have reportedly been talking more about working together on a Netflix documentary focusing on Middleton and her charity work. The source continued to say that “Kate is very flattered, and it’s all very positive between them.”
Since Meghan and Harry’s daughter Lilibet’s birth in June, Kate has made an effort to be there more for Meghan, regardless of their husbands not getting along.
Last September, Meghan and Harry signed a Netflix deal to produce “inspirational family programming.” It was reported that the couple was “seeking a deal in the neighborhood of $100 million.” (The two also signed a deal with Spotify, rumored to be worth $25 million, in mid-December.)
The first two Netflix programs in development under the couple’s Archewell Productions feature a docuseries about the Invictus Games, an athletic competition Harry founded for injured veterans in 2014, and an animated series called Pearl, about a 12-year-old girl who finds inspiration through famous women in history. Orlando von Einsiedel and Joanna Natasegara will direct the Invictus project. Pearl’s producers include Liz Garbus and David Furnish.
