Anya Taylor-Joy has been just announced as Dior’s most recent global brand ambassador. The actress has been turning to the French fashion house for her biggest red-carpet moments for some time, and will now represent both the brand’s fashion and makeup lines.
This news shouldn’t come as a surprise to fans who have been following Taylor-Joy. She’s been favoring Dior, showing off stunning couture designs by the house for events, including the Emmys, the Golden Globes and the Venice Film Festival.
Taylor-Joy has had a breakout year in 2021, picking up many nominations and awards for her role in The Queen’s Gambit. She’s also made herself noticeable with her appearance on the red carpet. Now, landing a role with one of the largest fashion houses in the world as a brand ambassador will really put her on the map. Dior definitely was the perfect match for Taylor-Joy, might we add.
Dior took the news to Instagram, saying “Dior is delighted to announce Anya Taylor-Joy as new global ambassador for fashion and make-up. Seen wearing several house creations in recent months, for the 26th Critics’ Choice Awards she epitomized modern elegance in a draped and macramé-detailed tulle gown from the Dior couture spring/summer 2020 collection by Maria Grazia Chiuri.”
In another Instagram post, Dior stated, “As new global ambassador for fashion and makeup actress Anya Taylor-Joy’s latest role will see her celebrating the House’s heritage and showcasing the work of Creative Director of Women’s collections Maria Grazia Chiuri, and of Creative and Image Director of Makeup, Peter Phillips Makeup. With a Dior Beauty look, her statuesque sophistication and love of ancient Greek mythology combined when she wore a Dior Cruise 2022 twinkling tulle dress to attend the collection’s unveiling in Athens this June.”
If there’s one thing we know for sure, it’s that Anya Taylor-Joy will make an absolutely gorgeous brand ambassador for Dior.
