Ridley Scott’s House of Gucci, a high-fashion true murder drama, has become one of the most anticipated movies of the year. And next year, for a limited time, fans of the movie can experience the literal house of Gucci all thanks to Airbnb.
Villa Balbiano, the luxurious estate featured in the true crime film, will soon be available to book on Airbnb. The villa – one of the largest private residences on Lake Como – has six lavish suites and extravagant gardens, and was reportedly distinguished by the British Society of Garden Designers. The six-bedroom home dates back to the end of the 16th century, when it was built by Cardinal Tolomeo Gallio. The Airbnb description says one century later, “it was enlarged and embellished by Cardinal Angelo Maria Durini who used the Villa to host a gallant and frivolous society where festivals, banquets and dances followed one another relentlessly.”
Villa Balbiano is the Gucci family patriarch Aldo Gucci’s home in the movie, which is set to hit theaters Nov. 24.
The Airbnb host is offering one one-night stay on March 30, 2022, for one guest and a plus one to spend the night in the estate’s master suite. The guest will have access to the villa’s amenities, such as the first four floors of the home, the outdoor swimming pool, private pier and boathouse. Total, the experience will cost $1,126.
Mark your calendar for Monday, December 6. Bookings open that day at 12 p.m. ET. House of Gucci, however, comes out Nov. 24.
