Sick of coffee? So are we. It gives you jitters, is addictive, just plain isn’t good for you, and worst of all…. *gasp*… stains your pearly whites. So what are some drinks you can sip to help you kick the habit? We’ve got some full-proof ideas for the next time you go to grab a cup of coffee.
- Matcha Latte
Ingredients:
- 8 oz milk of your choice
- 2 tsp matcha powder
- 2 tsp honey
- ice
How to:
Mix all ingredients in cup or blender until not lumpy, and enjoy.
2. Chai Latte
Ingredients:
- Tazo classic chai tea
- Milk of your choice
- Ice (if having an iced latte)
- Cinnamon (if desired)
How to:
A chai latte can be made either hot or cold. You can either heat up water and make the tea hot and add a little milk. Or you can buy the concentrate and pour 3/4 cup and add 1/4 cup milk. Top it off with milk. If you really want to, you can add cinnamon for an extra touch.
3. Golden Latte
Ingredients:
- 2 cups almond milk
- 1 inch fresh turmeric, or 1/4 teaspoon ground dried turmeric
- 1 inch fresh ginger
- pinch of ground cinnamon
- 2 teaspoons virgin coconut oil
- 1 tablespoon honey
How to:
Heat almond milk, turmeric, ginger, cinnamon, coconut oil, and honey in a pot over medium heat until just simmering. Cover, reduce heat, and simmer for an extra 5 minutes. Remove from heat, strain. Whisk while warm, or serve chilled over ice. Sprinkle with ground turmeric.
4. Green Tea:

- Green tea bags or leaves
How to:
Heat water until barely boiling. Remove from heat. Pour over your tea bag or leaves.
5. Kombucha

How to:
You can usually hit up the grocery store and pick up pre-made variations of Kombucha. Otherwise, you can brew Kombucha the same as you would any other kind of tea.
6. Lemon Water
Ingredients
- 1/2 lemon
- water
How to:
Squeeze half a lemon into a glass of water. If you want to, leave the remains of the lemon in the water.
7. Smoothies
Ingredients:
- Your favorite fruits and veggies
- ice
- milk or water
How to:
Smoothies can be fun and healthy. Throw in whatever fruits and veggies you’re currently feeling (strawberries, bananas, pineapples, blueberries, celery, etc.), add some milk or water, and ice voila! You have a smoothie. If you want extra flavor, try throwing in things like honey, vanilla, or cinnamon. This is also the perfect time to add all of those vitamin powders you buy all of the time but keep forgetting to use.
