Armani Hotels is opening a new location in Diriyah, 15 minutes outside of Saudi Arabia’s capital Riyadh.
The new location will include the brand’s signature accents from Dubai’s current hotels, such as the high-end spa, wellness centre, swimming pool, suites, landscaped terraces, and much more. That’s not all, though. The new development will also feature luxury Armani-branded residences furnished by the Italian brand.
The aesthetic of the upcoming luxury resort? It’s meant to capture the culture and heritage of Saudi Arabia by including the unique architecture of Diriyah and using various materials.
The Italian fashion designer states, “This is a pioneering project that was born from rediscovering Saudi Arabia’s roots: a dialogue between history and the present that I find very fascinating. Armani Hotel Diriyah allows me to interpret my idea of lifestyle and hospitality in a particularly subtle and embracing way. After celebrating the tenth anniversary of the opening of the Armani Hotels in Milan and Dubai, I am ready to take on this exciting new challenge. I am inspired by this initiative and delighted to be part of a project of such wide geographical and cultural scope.”
Diriyah is 300-years-old, home to many important and popular sites, such as the UNESCO World Heritage Site, At-Turaif Museum, and the future Diriyah development featuring 13 districts. Due to multiple new developments in the making, the town is meant to become one of the regions best historical sightseeing destinations.
