The Christmas festivities are upon us. Rockefeller Center has announced the selected 2022 Christmas Tree, and it’s even larger than last year’s tree.
The tree will be cut on Thursday, November 10, and will arrive at the Rockefeller Center plaza two days following on Saturday, November 12. According to Rockefeller Center, the 85-90-year-old tree tops out to 82 feet (three feet taller than last year’s tree) and weighs 14-tons. The Norway spruce was generously donated by the Lebowitz family from Glen Falls, New York.
Once the tree is set up in the plaza, a team will begin the decorating with 50,000 LED lights so it’s ready for the tree lighting ceremony on Wednesday, November 30th, from 7-10pm.
