This holiday season New York City’s The Mark Hotel is all lit up with a dazzling, glitzy holiday display made from millions of Swarovski Crystals.
The Mark, one of NYC’s most luxurious hotels, has paired with Austrian crystal house Swarovski to transform its appearance into a dreamy crystal display that can be seen gleaming from miles away. This is the hotel’s first ever holiday façade.
Designed by Swarovski Creative Director Giovanna Engelbert, this glamorous, over-the-top display is inspired by the holiday’s favorite cookie: gingerbread. Millions of toffee-colored Swarovski Crystals shine along the hotel with giant candy canes, peppermints, and Santa Claus at The Mark’s entrance while an emerald-colored bow frames the entrance and giant nutcrackers stand guard.
Engelbert says, “The Mark is a New York City icon, and we are so pleased to bring Swarovski’s vision of holiday joy and wonder to this prestigious hotel. For me, gingerbread evokes childlike wonder, inspiring us to dream, so it has been a great pleasure to design an experience that will spark people’s imaginations at this magical time of year.”
Each individual Swarovski crystal was hand applied by expert artisans, taking a week total for the whole façade to be created and installed.

This glittering winter wonderland will bring joy and love to our beloved New York City at the most wonderful time of the year,” said Izak Senbahar, President of Alexico Group and owner of The Mark Hotel.
The festive theme continues through to the hotel lobby, where guests will find the hotel reimagined gingerbread style, along with a sparkling Christmas tree embellished with crystal ornaments featuring gingerbread men, rocking horses, nutcrackers, stars, and candy canes.

The Swarovski display is a must-see for all those who love glittery, pretty things this holiday season. It will remain at The Mark Hotel through January 7, 2023.
