Paris Hilton has always wanted to be a mother, and now she is one. The businesswoman and TV personality welcomed her first child with husband Carter Reum via surrogate.
“It’s always been my dream to be a mother and I’m so happy that Carter and I found each other,” Paris Hilton told People. “We are so excited to start our family together and our hearts are exploding with love for our baby boy.”
Although it is clear the baby arrived via surrogate, it’s unclear when. His name has also not been revealed either.
The new mother took to Instagram to share the news of her little one’s arrival, and posted a close-up photo of tiny baby fingers gripping her well-manicured thumb. “You are already loved beyond words ?,” she wrote.
Multiple celebrities took to the comments to share their love for the new parents and baby boy.
Ashley Benson wrote, “Love you.”
“Congratulations to you both , biggest blessing ?” Naomi Campbell said.
“Congratulations what a blessing!!!!! We love you!!!! ??????,” Kris Jenner commented.
Though she kept quiet that she and Reum were expecting, Hilton has been open in the past about wanting to become a mother with Reum and her fertility journey. In a previous interview with People, Hilton discussed the the couple’s plan to have a baby, sharing that she and her husband began the IVF process during the pandemic.
“We started going and doing it like a few months in because the world was shut down,” she said at the time. “We knew we wanted to start a family, and I was like, ‘This is perfect timing. Usually, I’m on a plane 250 days out of the year, and let’s just get all of the eggs stocked and ready,’ and we have tons of them just waiting.”
In a SiriusXM interview in April 2022, Hilton said she and Reum have been wanting to start a family for a while.
“We’ve been talking about kids since the beginning, since the first couple months of dating,” she said. “We want like three or four.”
After her mother Kathy Hilton said in an interview last November that her daughter was “trying and trying” to get pregnant, Paris cleared things up on her Instagram Story. “The truth is, my husband and I wanted to enjoy our first year of marriage together as a couple and we were always planning on starting our family in 2023.”
“IVF is always a journey for everything but we’re so fortunate that we have lots of healthy embryos ready and waiting to be part of our Cutesy Crew!” Paris continued. “As everyone knows I have an extremely busy work and travel schedule but nothing gets me more excited than becoming a mom in 2023!”
Reum is a longtime friend of the Hilton family. The two got engaged in February 2021 after more than a year of dating and wed in a three-day wedding ceremony that November.
“I have gotten the unique opportunity to get to know the real Paris on a daily basis, just the two of us during these past 15 months, and I couldn’t be more excited and lucky to have her as my future wife and partner,” Reum said in February 2021. “She shines with her kindness, work ethic, authenticity and her voice in making the world a better place, and she will do the same as a future mother and wife.”
Hilton does not have any other children, but Reum shares a daughter, Evie, with actress Laura Bellizzi.
