Tiffany & Co. Appoints Lauren Santo Domingo As Creative Director Of Tiffany Home

Lauren Santo Domingo, co-founder of fashion retail platform Moda Operandi, has been announced as the new creative director of Tiffany and Co.’s homeware collection.

“Tiffany & Co. has played such an important part in milestones throughout my life, and I am honored to work with such an iconic brand,” said Santo Domingo of her new role. “I look forward to collaborating with the creative teams in bringing a new vision to the home collections while honoring Tiffany’s rich history.”

Santo Domingo is the newest in an iconic line of creative partners for the house, from Elsa Peretti to Nike. Her appointment comes simultaneously with the reopening of the Tiffany & Co. 5th Avenue headquarters this April, where visitors can dine at the revamped Blue Box Café. The flagship store will reopen its doors once again this spring, just in time to coincide with the release date for Santo Domingo’s first homeware launch. The collection will feature new tabletop items, including pieces from the Tiffany Toile and Tiffany Wisteria ranges. Her debut collection is heavily inspired by the house’s archival trove, which spans magnificent silverworks, novel diamond settings, and stained glass lamps.

“I realized that most of the patterns haven’t changed or haven’t been updated – we’ve all been looking at and eating off of the same ones for a really long time,” she said, not just speaking of Tiffany’s designs, but of the fine tableware category at large. “And while there’s something beautiful in tradition, there was definitely a huge opportunity to speak to a woman who entertains formally, but still wants something modern.”

“We are excited to see Lauren Santo Domingo infuse our home collection with her signature style,” said Alexandre Arnault, executive vice president of product and communications at Tiffany & Co. “Lauren is no stranger to luxury and we believe she will bring her impeccable eye and elegance to this important category at Tiffany.”

The new collection will be available at Tiffany stores and online, with a curated selection of items also available on Moda Operandi.
