Lindsay Lohan is taking on a new role: mother. The actress told TMZ that she is pregnant with her and her husband Bader Shammas’ first child. “We are very excited for our new family member to arrive and we are looking forward to this next chapter of our lives!” she said. She did not disclose the baby’s sex or due date, keeping those details private.
Lohan took to Instagram to announce the news to her fans, too. She tagged her husband and wrote, “We are blessed and excited!”. The post featured a white baby onesie that said, “coming soon…” in black cursive print.
Former co-stars and friends were quick to wish the mom-to-be congrats. Her Mean Girls co-star Amanda Seyfried wrote, “This is WONDERFUL NEWS!!” Elizabeth Gillies commented, “Congratulations!!!!”
Lohan first met Shammas, a financial executive, when she moved to Dubai. The two have kept their relationship very private. In 2020, the couple went Instagram official in a post where she referred to him as her boyfriend, but she later deleted the post. Lohan announced their engagement in 2021, and the couple wed in 2022. Lohan even deleted her Instagram post announcing their marriage. In October 2022, the actress had an interview with Cosmopolitan where she gushed about her husband.
“Well, I have an amazing husband, who’s a very calm person,” she said. “Just the best. And my family. And I feel like I have a small group of friends who are just really good people. That’s the only support that I really need: friends, family, and loved ones.”
She also previously sang his praises in a birthday tribute shared on Instagram.
“My love! You’re not only a great man, an incredible person, you’re my best friend,” she said. “Thank you for you loving me back babe! I Love You So much! Happy Birthday”
