Leighton Meester and Adam Brody don’t make many red carpet appearances together, but when they do, they look amazing.
The couple made an appearance together at the Regency Village Theater in Los Angeles for the premiere of Warner Bros.’ Shazam! Fury of the Gods on Tuesday. Though the premiere was drenched in rain, especially for the drought-prone city, the pair looked stunning and unfazed by the rain.
For the event, Leighton Meester chose to wear a The Vampire’s Wife bronze metallic silk maxi dress with tiered hem ruffles and a high neckline and defined waist. She paired the ensemble with beige sandals, a black velvet clutch, and drop earrings. Her beauty look was natural. She went with light shimmery eyeshadow, bronzer, and a rose lip. The actress wore her shiny brown hair in loose waves, showing off her bangs.
Meanwhile, her husband, Adam Brody, looked elegant in a navy double-breasted twill suit, which he paired with a crisp white button-down and shiny maroon loafers.
The couple made their last public appearance together in November 2022, when they attended the New York City premiere of FX’s Fleishman Is in Trouble, in which Brody stars.
Meester and Brody first started dating in February 2013. They met on the set of The Oranges in 2011.
“I was on The O.C., and that was coming to an end, and Gossip Girl was starting. Josh Schwartz produced both shows,” said Brody on an episode of Anna Faris’ Unqualified podcast in 2021. “The first time we met, that whole cast was eating at Canter’s [in Los Angeles], and I lived at Canter’s for like, my entire 20s. I was leaving, and he introduced all of us and then [I] bumped into her, like, two or three times over the next couple of years.”
In November 2013, the couple announced their engagement. By February 2014, the two had a very hush-hush Northern California wedding.
“She’s very happy. She has a lovely ring. She likes [it] a lot,” a source told People at the time, adding that the “under-wraps wedding” was “super intimate” and “super recently – a couple weeks ago.”
Meester and Brody have since welcomed two kids together – Arlo, 7, and a son – whose name they have not released – , 2.
“I was very attracted to her from the jump. She’s a heavenly creature. I thought she was gorgeous,” he said of his wife on Anna Faris’ podcast. “And come to find out she’s literally like Joan of Arc. She is the strongest, best person I know. She is my moral compass and North Star, and I just can’t say enough good things about her character. It’s crazy.”
