A Series Inspired By Jane Goodall Is Coming To Apple TV+

Jane is the new series to watch to encourage your environmental streak. Meant as a children’s fiction show, it is inspired by the life of the British ethologist and anthropologist Jane Goodall to speak messages of hope to the young (but not limited to them). “The environment is something we should all be concerned about, while encouraging them [children] and their families to make a difference,” Jane Goodall said of the upcoming Apple TV+ series.

Goodall has fought all her life for the protection of biodiversity and the well-being of animals. Her study of chimpanzees (which was the longest field study conducted on wild animals in their natural habitat) earned her international fame and allowed her to challenge the male-dominated scientific consensus of her time. Today, Jane Goodall commits to raising awareness and alerting public opinion to the dangers against our earth.

Produced by JJ Johnson, Sinking Ship Entertainment and the Jane Goodall Institute, the ten-part series follows the adventures of Jane Garcia (Ava Louise Murchison), a young conservationist with the mission to save endangered species. Equipped with her powerful imagination, she searches, along with her best friend David (Mason Blomberg) and a chimpanzee named Greybeard, in amazing adventures to protect wild animals through nature and the world.

As Jane Goodall would say, “Only if we understand, will we care. Only if we care will we help. Only if we help will we save them.”
