Coachella is always full of surprises. This year, Zendaya was the star. During the second weekend of the festival, the 26-year-old actress and singer burst on stage, surprising fans.
Zendaya has not performed on stage for nearly seven years: her last album was released in 2013, but she has been more focused on her acting career in recent years. The star made her comeback at Coachella performing two titles from the Euphoria series, I’m Tired and All for Us, alongside Labrinth.
For her big moment, Zendaya took a little inspiration from her Euphoria character’s look, Rue. On stage, she wore a pale pink satin-trimmed spaghetti-strapped top with a bow detail in the front which she wore over a pristine white tank top, which she paired with a matching ruffled miniskirt, and laced-up knee-high leather boots by Christian Louboutin.
On her Instagram Stories following the performance, Zendaya thanked the crowd for their support once she hit the stage. “I cannot express my gratitude enough for this magical night,” she wrote. “Thank you to my brother [Labrinth] for inviting me and giving me the most beautiful safe space to be on a stage again. Wow, my heart is so full, I can’t thank you enough for the love I received tonight, made all my nerves melt away.”
Hopefully she makes her way to the stage again soon.
