A smart combination of coastal fashion and Parisian style, the French Riviera style is elegant but always relaxed. It was created by the British upper class during their holidays in the south of France in the 19th century who were looking to build up a chic but practical summer wardrobe. The style was then popularized in the 1960s with the arrival of New Wave film and it’s famous fashion icons, from Brigitte Bardot to Jeanne Moreau to Catherine Deneauve.
