This Smoothie Will Help Boost Your Tan

The Sha Wellness Clinic, a luxury establishment in the field of health and wellness located in the province of Alicante in Spain, has come up with a smoothie recipe to boost your summer tan in no time. Unfortunately, not all of us can travel to Spain, so the Sha Wellness Clinic condensed their most popular recipes in their new book El poder de la Nutrición Saludable (“Power of healthy food“).

“The book, whose prologue was written by Ferrán Adriá, explains in a simple way how to make natural, balanced and alkalizing dishes with therapeutic effects, which put health first, without giving up taste, while maintaining the organoleptic properties of food. Healthy and delicious recipes, which will satisfy the most demanding guests,” reads the press release.

Among the 76 recipes in the book, the Sha Wellness kitchen team and nutrition experts have released the “summer vibes” smoothie to boost your tan immediately. All those who want to achieve a tanned complexion, take notes.

Just the name of the smoothie sets the tone. Here, all the ingredients have been listed to activate the natural production of melanin and help increase your tan tenfold. In addition to boosting your tan, this fiber-rich drink also has antioxidant and diuretic properties.

“Summer vibes” smoothie

Ingredients

  • 250 ml of organic apple juice (rich in vitamins, mineral salts but also in antioxidants. It especially helps to fight against the aging of cellular tissues)
  • 3 carrots (thanks to beta-carotene, precursor of vitamin A, carrots protect the epidermis from free radicals and activates melanin, responsible for the protective tan of the skin. This powerful antioxidant also boosts the production of collagen, improves the condition of the skin and promotes healing)
  • ½ Granny Smith apple (rich in vitamins A, B and C, fiber and minerals such as iron, green apples promote cell renewal and stimulate metabolism)
  • ½ pear (like the apple, it protects the skin from skin aging)
  • A small piece of ginger (natural exfoliant, it regulates excess sebum and helps the skin to balance itself naturally)
  • 5 to 6 mint leaves (source of vitamin C, iron or even magnesium, this plant has toning, anti-inflammatory, healing and antioxidant properties)

Instructions

  • Rinse all fruits, vegetables and sprouts
  • Peel the apple, pear and carrots. Cut them into small or medium-sized pieces
  • Grate the ginger then squeeze it by hand to extract all the juice
  • Mix all the ingredients in a blender until you obtain a consistent texture, without lumps
