Cobalt blue is one of next summer’s biggest colors, according to fashion designers and houses. It has already been seen at Loewe, Balmain, Givenchy, Isabel Marant, and Miu Miu.
In spring-summer, cobalt blue will be worn with pride, like a standard. If sorbet shades and purple are filling women’s wardrobes, one color is regaining its virtue. This is cobalt blue, seen on many catwalks this season. This vibrant shade, which can be compared to royal blue, is intended to be bold and statement.

At the Givenchy show, cobalt blue was seen in a long silky coat. At Miu Miu, it came in the form of a pencil skirt with beachwear accents. Acne Studios played up the color with a flowy maxi dress. Loewe had fun infusing it on a long, unstructured knit sweater. Balmain offers a skater skirt version of cobalt blue, while The Row combines it with black.

Cobalt blue was also one of the key colors of the season for street style. Many fashion personalities spotted by photographers, in the streets of London, Milan and Paris, have relied on this shade. Burberry, in particular, has made it one of its star shades this season. In this logic, the color was found on a variety of outfits branded with the brand’s signature check pattern.
