The beanie is still alive and well this fall-winter 2023-2024. Adopted by leading personalities, this year it is embellished with neutral shades and imagined in fluffy materials, perfect for keeping our heads warm throughout the winter.
Although the beanie has been around for decades, it has often been degraded to utility status, dedicated to keeping us warm more than increasing the fashion quotient of our outfits. Yet this season has seen the birth of new models that seem to claim the opposite. Whether cuffed, crocheted or available in embossed styles, various beanie trends have found their place on the catwalks of established fashion houses, bringing this often neglected accessory back into fashion.

From the catwalks to the street, there is often only one step. In recent weeks, big personalities seem to swear by the beanie, making the accessory the star accessory of their winter outfits. The latest to have adopted it is Gigi Hadid. On October 17, the model was seen on the streets of New York dressed in an orange jumpsuit which she accessorized with a pair of UGGs, retro sunglasses, Prada’s Sidonie bag and a shimmering beanie.
A few weeks ago, Blake Lively wore a cobalt blue ribbed New York Yankees beanie, enhancing her outfit, which consisted of a striped shirt to which she had worn under a brown cardigan. All this, paired with faded wide-leg jeans and brown accessories.
In a more casual spirit, Olivia Wilde opted for a beige style by Ganni which she paired with a classic white t-shirt and blue flare jeans. As for shoes, she submitted to the flagship sneaker trend for fall-winter 2023-2024: the Samba from Adidas.
Far from being fond of classic silhouettes, Bella Hadid prefers to embrace the most daring trends, right down to accessories. In New York, she stirred up a sensation, revealing herself in an outfit straight out of the 2000s, consisting of a leather trench coat, mid-high lace-up boots, a retro bag and a pink crocheted beanie equipped with a flower applique.
Confirming the trend of the winter, the Biebers were seen in New York, wearing comfortable beanies. Hailey opted for a taupe style, while Justin remained faithful to his eternal black beanie, which can go with any winter outfit.
