This holiday season, Alice Roca released a new culinary book called Réunir. In the book, she shares inspiring and friendly recipes as well as decorating tips that are as good as they are responsible in the run-up to Christmas. One of the recipes includes her dried fruit garland. “These wreathes can decorate the house during the holidays. We place them in front of the windows, in the tree, on the table…” Below is how to recreate Roca’s dried fruit garland.

- Thread
- Needle
- Ribbon or pretty cord

- Red-skinned apples
- Oranges
- Bay leaves
Instructions
- Dry the apple and orange slices, preferably cut with a mandolin, in a dehydrator or overnight in the oven at 60°C, spread out well on a baking sheet.
- The following day, begin by forming your garland flat on a table as you desire, alternating apple, orange and bay leaf.
- Take a needle and thread, tie a knot at the end, and holding your garland shape with one hand, sew the slices together tightly.
- Hang a ribbon or cord and viola. It’s ready to go!
