Metallic colors are now making their way into our daily wardrobes, due to the multitude of designers and houses who have injected them into their collections over the last two seasons. Still, these festive shades are perfect for celebrating end-of-year holidays with style and confidence.
We often rely on the dress or suit to shine during the end-of-year celebrations, but the skirt can also be a great way to make a fashion statement. On the catwalks of Fashion Week Spring-Summer 2024, certain designers showed their obsession with silver, through outfits with a charm as streetwear as they are sophisticated, all infused with silver.
At Ami, the pants are enhanced with a plethora of sequins. While at Marine Serre, the trench coat is straight futuristic, and Gucci twists the color like an XXL coat. Other designers opted for the silver skirt, which they revised and corrected. On the hand, Carven signs a midi model in shimmering colors, on the other Supriya Lele revisits the slip skirt, and Jonathan Anderson for her brand JW Anderson shows models straight from the future.
Because catwalk trends are often adopted by well-known personalities, several of them have been seen with silver skirts, like Zendaya during the Oscars ceremony in 2022 who opted for a mega-long sequined model, and Kendall Jenner, who recently paired hers with a simple white tank top. Two perfect looks that can be worn at end-of-year parties.

This year, it appears that the slip skirt and the sequin skirt are taking the lead on votes since they are as sexy as they are comfortable. What to avoid? Cuts that are too short. Instead opt for midi or maxi skirts that you will wear with a simple immaculate shirt.
