Valentine’s Day is here, and while we’ve been celebrating New York Fashion Week, some celebrities, such as David and Victoria Beckham, are celebrating the romantic holiday by sharing their love for one another on Instagram.
David posted early this morning, which he dedicated to his wife of 24 years and their four kids. In his caption, the soccer star wrote, “Happy Valentines to my amazing wife, mummy & best friend. I love you. I mean. ‘I just fancied her’ @victoriabeckham Happy valentines kiddies @brooklynpeltzbeckham @romeobeckham @cruzbeckham #HarperSeven.”
The quote is a reference to something David says in his Beckham Netflix docuseries that was released last year. He explains how he and Victoria initially connected and began dating because he “just fancied her”, and she him.
Along with the caption, David featured a photo of himself and Victoria kissing on the beach in front of a fiery orange sunset.
Victoria posted her own Valentine’s Day tribute to her husband. The fashion designer’s slideshow included a photo of David looking like a cowboy – decked out in a grey tee, jeans, an ivory cowboy hat, black boots and a large brown belt cinched with a shiny silver buckle. The photo was followed by a video compilation that shows the soccer star navigating a series of challenges on a country-themed obstacle course.
“Happy Valentine’s Day cowboy,” Victoria wrote in her caption. “Love you so much @davidbeckham!! Kisses @brooklynpeltzbeckham @romeobeckham @cruzbeckham #HarperSeven xx.”
The couple started dating in 1997 and wed at Lutterellstown Castle in Ireland in 1999. Since then, they’ve raised sons Brooklyn, 24, Romeo, 21, and Cruz, 18, and daughter Harper, 12.
