At long last, Miley Cyrus fans will soon get to hear new music from the music icon. Not only is the Grammy-winner on track to release her ninth studio album on May 30, but according to an interview with Harper’s Bazaar, Something Beautiful is also set to be a visual album.
The track will contain thirteen tracks and be produced by herself and Shawn Everett, who has previously worked with other big names. She also unveiled the album cover, photographed by Glen Luchford, where she appears in a 1997 Thierry Mugler archival outfit, wearing a crystal headpiece embellished with white feathers and a beaded mesh dress.

In recent weeks, Miley, seen on posters spotted on streets, posed wearing an avant-garde headpiece, staring straight into the camera. Her face, meanwhile, was hidden by the contrast of the poster, making it impossible to see. This may be to suggest the pop star is exploring new sounds.
Miley also said that Something Beautiful will be an extravagant, glamorous album filled with pop culture references. According to the pop star, it is important that the visuals coordinate with the album’s sounds. “The visuals [of my album] led everything else. It was important to me that each song had healing qualities. The songs, whether they are about destruction, heartbreak, or death, are presented in a way that makes them beautiful, because even the most difficult moments in our lives have a certain beauty. […] There is no painting without reflections and contrasts.”
Miley Cyrus hasn’t released an album since her last work of art, 2023’s Endless Summer Vacation, which reached number three on the Billboard 100 chart. Her hit single “Flowers,” earned her two Grammy Awards categories: Record of the Year and Best Pop Solo Performance, marking her first wins at the music awards ceremony.
