Want to celebrate Oktoberfest but feel like you can’t because everything is cancelled this year? No worries. Synder is offering a limited edition pairing for the German festival: beer and pretzels.
Snyder’s of Hanover and Captain Lawrence Brewing Co. announced the Pretzel Keg on Monday, Oct. 5. Each Pretzel Keg has a 27-ounce canister filled with Synder’s baked pretzel rods at the top. Underneath the saltiness is a mini keg (a 5-liter keg) of Captain Lawrence Brewing Co.’s Marzen Style Style Oktoberfest Lager. Snyder’s swears that the smooth and malty lager enhances flavors of toasty bread, honey, and chocolate, which goes well with the pretzels.
All you need to do to celebrate Oktoberfest now is order your Pretzel Keg from the Synder’s Pretzel Keg website (https://snyderspretzelkeg.com/). It will sell for $49.99 once it goes on sale at 2 p.m. ET on Wednesday, Oct. 7, and will only be available while supplies last.
Unfortunately, due to liquor laws it won’t be available to ship in all 50 states. But it will be available for delivery in: Alaska, Arkansas, Arizona, California, Connecticut, Washington D.C., Delaware, Iowa, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Mexico, New York, New Jersey, Nevada, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Texas, Virginia, Washington, and Wisconsin.
As part of the product launch, the companies are hosting a sweepstakes offering five winners a $50 gift card to purchase a free Pretzel Keg. The contest will begin at noon ET on Thursday, Oct. 8 and run through 11:59 ET on Monday, Oct 12. You get an entry for each tag you post, but you can only get up to five entries. You’ll be notified via Instagram by Thursday, Oct. 15 if you’re a winner.
