5 Manicure Trends Perfect For Spring

The year 2022 was huge for nail trends, with celebrity manicures going viral and manicurists becoming influencers. So now we’re prepared that nail trends will be huge again in 2023. As of right now, this is what we’ve gathered is hot this spring. Let these five manicure trends be your inspiration this spring.

Vanilla French Manicure

If you feel like you’ve tried all versions of the French manicure, there’s a new nail trend that just might peak your interest. The “vanilla French” manicure is a soft, slightly lessened natural nail look that is super flattering on everyone. “The vanilla French is a new nail trend originally created by LA celebrity nail artist Zola Ganzorigt, who brought us 2022’s glazed doughnut manicure,” says manicurist Robbie Tomkins. “This new subtle look is similar to the classic American French manicure, but with a twist. The tip is slightly hazed out to create a softer, peachier look, as opposed to the usual pink and bright white colors we associate with a French manicure.”

Blush Manicure

“Having a clean and simple manicure is super trendy right now,” agrees manicurist Alexandra Teleki. “Blush nails are a twist on ombré nails, but the design starts from a round shape in the center of the nail rather than from the top or bottom. It’s super elegant.” This is a mani that looks good on a variety of nail shapes – including short, square, and almond. You may even try a simpler, sheer rosy pink if you don’t want to go for blush. The idea is to infuse nails with the sort of healthy, outdoorsy flush we strive for with rosy cheeks by taking on a fresh take on the classic blush manicure.

Floral Manicure

Cherry blossoms are in bloom, days are lighter and brighter, and spring has finally arrived. It’s time to fully immerse yourself in the season, and what better way to do it than with your nails? Florals are one of spring’s hottest nail trends. Floral nail art requires a steady hand and a certain amount of creativity on the part of the nail technician.

Latte Chrome Manicure

One of the most loved nail polish colors, which has alway been considered synonymous with minimalist elegance, dove gray nail polish is transformed in this manicure into a glittery chrome version capable of giving immediate luminosity to the manicure, while maintaining discreet essence. Neither pink, nor brown, with a hint of beige and a hint of grey, dove gray nail polish was a huge trend a few years ago. In this new trend, it become a shade of latte, which recalls the mix between coffee and milk, enriched by a chrome finish.

Chocolate Brown Glazed Donut Manicure

Instead of nude or blush pink to make you feel natural, opt for a chocolate brown to get in touch with a natural hue. An irresistible cocoa hue makes you feel like you’re on vacation instantly. “While matte finishes won’t work for this trend, you can still re-create glazed donut nails using traditional polish,” says Zola Ganzorigt, who was responsible for Bieber’s much coveted glazed donut nails. “The idea is for the nails to have an almost metallic, surreal reflective quality. I recommend applying a coat of Essie’s Expressive FX polish in Iced out first on bare nails, which has a pearly, iridescent finish, [then add your polish tone of choice]. And lastly, always remember to finish with a gloss top coat.”
