Once again, RiRi is hosting a Met Gala after party. The singer made it known that if you’re not there, you’re missing out. She shared a poster to her special event, which kicks off September 13 at 11 pm.
“If you planning a Met Ball after party……. don’t,” the Instagram post reads.
Unfortunately, it also states “private event” so not everyone can just show up.
This year’s Gala welcomes the return of fashion’s hugest night, having been cancelled last year due to COVID. Although it’s regularly held on the first Monday in May, this year’s event will happen on September 13th and will be much more intimate than previous years. According to the Metropolitan Museum of Art, this year’s theme is “In America: A Lexicon of Fashion”. It will honor the 75th anniversary of the museum’s Costume Institute and “explore a modern vocabulary of American fashion.”
No word yet on if Rihanna will be attending the main event or just hosting a legendary after party. But there are other big names to watch for at this year’s Gala. Billile Eilish, Amanda Gorman, and Naomi Osaka will cochair the ceremony, as Tom Ford, Anna Wintour and Adam Mosseri will serve as the honorary chairs.
