Chase Stokes and Madelyn Cline have officially ended their relationship.
“Madelyn and Chase are no longer together,” a source told People. “They were trying to work things out privately but broke up a couple of months ago.”
Another source told the outlet, “They are definitely broken up.”
Rumors of the two splitting began back in September when Madelyn was spotted hanging out with actor Ross Butler at Milan Fashion Week, but Ross told TMZ that Madelyn was “just a friend.”
Chase was seen in Miami with Jonathan Daviss and Austin North the same week that Madelyn was in Europe with Butler. Come October, Chase celebrated Halloween with friends, including Joey King, but Madelyn was nowhere to be found.
Chase and Madelyn met back in 2019 on the set of their hit Netflix show, Outer Banks. It took a whole year for the two to confirm their real-life romance. “Cats outta the bag,” Chase wrote on his Instagram. Madelyn commented, “I’ve fallen and I cant get up.”
Later that year, Madelyn described being in love with Chase. “It’s really cool. Love is tight,” she told Entertainment Tonight. “It’s cool to share this experience with your favorite people and also your favorite person… I feel very happy.”
The two celebrated their one-year anniversary in April. One month later, they took home the trophy for Best Kiss and made out on stage during their acceptance speech.
